Born on this day in 1990, Jasleen Matharu is the daughter of director Kesar Matharu. Originally hailing from Punjab, Jasleen spent most of her childhood in Mumbai. She also has one brother Kamaljeet Singh Matharu who is an actor and a producer. On the occasion of children's day last year, Jasleen shared this childhood picture of her with her father. Jasleen started learning classical and western music at the age of 11. She has been a part of numerous music concerts with singers like Mika Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and Amjad Khan. She made her acting debut in 2013 in her father's film The Dirty Relation.

In 2012, she made her solo debut as a singer with the album Love Day. Jasleen is quite active on social media and has a fan following of over 6.9 million followers.

She shot to fame when she entered the Bigg Boss 12 house. In her three-month-long stint inside the house, Matharu hit headlines owing to her alleged romance with bhajan maestro Anup Jalota. Their public display of affection — especially when she smothered him with kisses in an episode — did not skip anyone's notice.

Her revelation of dating the singer, 65, for the past three years came as a shock to her family as well as viewers. She later claimed that the affair was a prank played inside the house that went "horribly wrong"

Her association with Bigg Boss continued this year too, when she appeared in the Bigg Boss spin-off series Mujhse Shaadi Karoge in which she was seen competing with other contestants to date Bigg Boss 13 contestant Paras Chhabra.

She regularly gives us a glimpse of her life through adorable and sizzling pictures. Recently, during the coronavirus outbreak in the country, Jasleen shared a series of pictures asking her fans to follow the guidelines and help prevent the outbreak.
