Real to reel

Post the time leap in Hamariwali Good News, Juhi Parmar, who plays Renuka, is shown with a baby bump. She is reliving her real-life pregnancy days. "When you have been through the journey, it's easier to get the nuances right," says Parmar, who has an eight-year-old daughter, Samaira.

The Zee TV show tells a story that captures the dynamics of the saas-bahu relationship in Indian society, through the story of daughter-in-law Navya (Srishti Jain) and her mother-in-law Renuka (Juhi). Shakti Anand essays Mukund, who is Renuka's husband and Navya's father-in-law.

Flavours of Punjab

Kundali Bhagya actor Dheeraj Dhoopar and Smriti Kalra team up for the first time in the music video, Jogiya. The track, rendered by Shibani Kashyap, and directed by Mehul Gadani, was shot in Punjab. Kalra, who featured in Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara and 12/24 Karol Bagh, is seen more in videos than shows.

Spiritual paintings

For the urban crowd, spirituality has become a part of their everyday dictionary, but not many know its meaning. Nyra Banerjee, who was seen in the web-series Helllo Jee, indulges in spiritual paintings along with her mother, and she said, "Spirituality is the understanding of the qualities of the spirit to lead a life with clarity and full potential because we are spirit in essence."

Nyra's mother Purnita Banerjee is a spiritual healer, tarot card reader, and author. Talking about her mother, she said, "Spirituality was triggered by various life situations in which she felt that her free will is abused. Insights, occurrences, lucid dreams, clairaudience, clairvoyance, and a lot more created a quest to know more about life. This is how the journey started. She has learned, practised, and applied various healing techniques to friends, family, and clients. And also, counselling with Gyan Yog."

"She speaks through images and writing. She enjoys sharing the wisdom attained in life through her paintings and writings. It motivates and inspires people without preaching," she added.

Purnita uses the name White Peacock Healing for her healing, spirituality and art endeavours.
