‘Soumita and I are getting married at a Gurdwara in Mumbai,’ says Paras Madaan

Beyhadh 2 actor Paras Madaan is all set to tie the knot with fiancée Soumita Das, who heads a production house on December 11. Speaking to mid-day.com the actor reveals his plans.

How did you'll decide on the wedding date?

We had the roka in March, a day before my birthday. We had decided to get married by yearend as the weather is pleasant during that time. We also checked with our astrologer and the dates given were between November 14^th and December 14^th. As per our customs, if your parents married in a particular month you don't get married during that time. My in-laws had married in November. Earlier we visited Jodhpur to decide on a venue but post the pandemic we didn't want to take the risk. So we are now getting married at a Gurudwara in Andheri, Mumbai. I am Punjabi and my fiancée is Bengali so we had multiple options of how we want to get married. Parents suffer the most during weddings, especially the girl's side, it's something I observed during my sister's wedding. My parents were constantly running around greeting people. So we decided to do everything ourselves and treat our parents as guests who come to the party and have fun.

Tell us about your love story...

Ours is friendship turned into love. I was working as an actor at a production house in 2018,that she was heading. We were there for each other during Covid times since my parents live in Delhi. That's how we grew close. My parents were happy because they had been coaxing me to get married for along time. They loved her and were happy for us.

Where are you'll heading for the honeymoon?

We have postponed it for now since we are hearing Europe is still unsafe. We also have a few launches by our app Apex prime coming up so we are busy with that.
