It is the season of reality shows. While several singing and talent series are on air, avid television watchers are eagerly waiting for the 17th season of Bigg Boss to go on air. It seems the wait isn't too long. According to reports, Bigg Boss 17 will be going live on Colors by the end of September.
Reportedly, the theme for Bigg Boss 17 is said to be 'Couple Vs Single'. While there is no official confirmation from the makers, Twitter is abuzz with rumours and speculations. According to Filmibeat, Pandya Store's actors, Alice Kaushik and Kanwar Dhillon, are mostly confirmed for the reality show. They have been dating for quite a few years now.

According to reports, Ramanand Sagar's great-granddaughter Sakshi Chopra has once again been approached for Bigg Boss in the 17th season. In the past, she was seen in the first season of Netflix's Social Currency with Parth Samthaan and others. The makers are yet to officially release the list of participants.
The second season of Bigg Boss' OTT version had its grand finale on August 14. Popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav wrote history by becoming the first wild card contestant to win the trophy. Abhishek Malhan became the first runner-up. Manisha Rani ended her journey as the second runner-up. Pooja Bhatt and Bebika Dhurve were in the Top-5.
Bigg Boss 16, also known as Bigg Boss: Game Badlega, Kyunki Bigg Boss Khud Khelega!, aired on Colors from October 1, 2022, to February 12, 2023. Hosted by Salman Khan, the trophy of the season went to MC Stan. Shiv Thakare and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary were the first and second runners-up respectively. Archana Gautam and Shalin Bhanot were the finalist and made it to the Top-5.
According to the format of Bigg Boss OTT, the top performers of the show get a chance to participate in the main version which airs on television. The OTT version streams on JioCinema and the duration is 6 weeks. The television version of the reality show goes on for at least 100 days.
As of now, Bigg Boss 17 is expected to go on air on September 30, 2023.
