Ridhima Pandit
Ridhima Pandit has shown her flair for comedy with shows like Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant and The Drama Company. With her latest project - the web series, Kapoors, on ALT Balaji - the actor says she is looking forward to attempting drama. "The show is rich in emotions. It is the story of three sisters and how they view life. I play the eldest," she says.'
A trained stage actor who used to work with Nadira Babbar's theatre group, Pandit claims that the show will give her a chance to showcase her deft in portraying emotional roles. "I'm crying on screen after so long. The last time I did an emotion-heavy role was during my theatre days," she smiles, adding that she is excited about revisiting the '90s sartorially. "Since the story is based in that era, I will get to try fashion trends from the time."
Fashion aside, that the show gave her an opportunity to collaborate with TV czarina Ekta Kapoor was another incentive. "Nobody understands emotional dramas like Ekta. My family was keen that I work with her some day and now that I'm doing this project, they are ecstatic." The venture marks her second web outing after Ye Kya Hua Bro. Although she enjoys the digital medium, Pandit admits she steers clear of doing intimate scenes. "It has become a prerequisite on shows these days. But I can't make out on screen," concludes Pandit.
