Rahul Vaidya is now a household name and he has a big fan following on social media. As he celebrates his 34th birthday today, we look back at his journey, starting from 2004, and how he has only seen a rise in his career and following.
It was in 2004 when we saw him on national television for the first time. It was the first season of the singing reality show âIndian Idol'. Rahul Vaidya was able to impress all the three judges on the panel that year- Anu Malik, Farah Khan, and Sonu Nigam, known for their unfiltered comments. Viewers were immediately drawn to his soothing voice and simple demeanour. Despite a strong support, he was eliminated in February 2005 and stood third in the competition. But the nation never forgot who he was. A star was on the brink of being born.
In the same year, he released his debut album âTera Intezar' and also sung for the Bollywood film âShaadi No. 1', directed by David Dhawan. Vaidya has lent his voice to a lot of films over the years like âRace 2', âJaan-E-Mann', and âBhaag Johnny'.

From Indian Idol to Laughter Chefs, here's tracing Rahul Vaidya's journey
This is a show that brings out the best (sometimes the beast) in people. Rahul Vaidya, who charmed one and all with his voice in the aforementioned singing reality show, was now seen in a completely different avatar. Fans were surprised but also elated to see the unseen side of the singer in the Bigg Boss house. This time too, he was the Runner-up. Rahul proposed his love interest Disha Parmar on national television while he was inside the house. On Valentine's day, Disha surprised him with her entry in the house and their relationship was made official. The lovebirds took the plunge in July this year and took off to Maldives for their honeymoon yesterday.
This is one show that's both deadly and daring. After his singing and Bigg Boss fights, it was time for him to test his resilience and fearlessness. The man has been impressive in performing all the stunts and tasks thrown at the contestants, and fans got to see yet another side of the singer. Given the diametrically opposite formats of the three shows and how seamlessly he has blended himself in all of them, he now seems to be an all-rounder. Which show can we expect him next on?
