She recently grabbed headlines, when her co-star Kamal Kumar proposed to her on the sets of their first song together - 'Aankhiyan Da Ghar'. It was later found out that it was more of a BTS on location masti to entertain the crew. "Nia is a gorgeous girl. Who wouldn't want to propose to her? Though it was not serious. We were waiting for the shot, everyone was busy doing their own thing when I suddenly went on my knees and proposed to her. Everyone was shocked until both Nia and I started laughing," said Kamal Kumar.

Nia Sharma said, "Kamal is a lovely co-star and I know he is in awe of me. I could get the vibe too but I know it was on a lighter note so his proposal was gently put aside. But this song 'Aankhiyan da Ghar' is close to my heart. I loved the concept and I have been receiving a lot of appreciation for this, it portrays a different side of me."
She was recently seen in season two of the web series 'Jamai 2.0', along with Ravi Dubey and Achint Kaur. The actress rose to fame with shows such as 'Kaali: Ek Agnipariksha', 'Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai' and 'Jamai Raja'.
