Somya Seth, popularly known for playing the titular role in the TV show Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal, got married to her longtime boyfriend Shubham Chuhadia in the US on June 22. It is her second marriage. Somya was previously married to Arun Kapoor and has a son named Ayden with him. Today, she shared a video featuring happy moments from her Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies.
For her Haldi ceremony, Somya wore a bright yellow one-shoulder dress and teamed it with a pearl necklace. Shubham kept it simple in a white shirt and jeans. Ayden looked handsome in a white shirt and denim shorts. The actress was dressed in a floral outfit for her intimate Mehendi ceremony.
Sharing the reel, Somya wrote, "Life filled with love!! That's the most important need!! It hits differently when your loved ones are the ones putting Mehndi on you!!"
Somya had shared a picture from her close-knit wedding with Shubham. She looked gorgeous in a white sleeveless gown with a long trail. Her partner opted for a blue tuxedo. Ayden posed happily with his parents.
On Father's Day this year, Somya shared a video for Shubham and wrote, "Happy Father's Day @shub1893 Every day we are so grateful for you!! Day after day - our respect and love for you only grows!! Thank you for all that you do everyday for this family. Thank you for always putting Ayden and his needs first. Thank you for always being there for us. Thank you for being the perfect role model in our lives. You are loved and celebrated everyday!!"
She got married to Arun in 2016 and moved to the US. Before quitting acting, she did other shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat and Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat to name a few. However, trouble in their relationship began in 2018. They got divorced in 2019. She accused him of mental and physical trauma. The actress said in an interview that she had suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy.
Narrating an incident, she shared, " I remember this one time when I was standing in front of the mirror, unable to recognise my own self. I was completely bruised. I didn't eat for several days even though I was pregnant. I couldn't dare to look at the mirror for a few days and when I finally did, I just wanted to end my life."
