A source told DNA, "There is a lot of pressure from the two families. Ginni's parents are keen that the couple makes their relationship official. Kapil's mother also wants him to marry Ginni, whom she has grown fond of. Ginni had promised to consider marriage only after Kapil cleaned up his act. Now, that the stand-up comedian is completely off alcohol and in a much more relaxed frame of mind, he too seems to be in the mood to take the plunge."

At the launch of his film, Firangi, the actor opened up on his decline. He said it was all triggered by panic attacks that he suffered. "I could not step on the stage to perform and would cancel the shoot. I suffered from anxiety and drank myself silly. I would stay locked up in the office with my pet dog. People stopped coming on the show and I went off the radar."

The rapid downslide of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' left him defeated and further fed in to his anxiety, so much so that he even considered suicide. He recollected, "One of my close friends asked me to shift to his seaside apartment. He thought a change of scene would be good for me. As I saw the wide expanse of sea from his balcony, I felt like jumping into it. I was depressed; it felt like the world was gunning for me."
The whole nation knows about the infamous mid-air fight between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover and perhaps it is the most controversial chapters of their lives. However, neither Kapil nor Sunil broke their silence on the subject and clarified their stance on what truly happened between the two that led to their fallout. At the trailer launch of his upcoming movie 'Firangi', when Kapil was questioned about the incident once again, he denied having an argument with the comedian. Kapil Sharma maintained that he still loves Sunil and would love to reunite with him for a show.
