While movie lovers are rejoicing the release of Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' and Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer', popular television actor Juhi Parmar has called out the Ryan Gosling, Margot Robbie-starrer for use of inappropriate language not suitable for kids. She had gone to watch the film with her 10-year-old daughter.

Juhi Parmar took to Instagram on Monday and posted a four-page open letter to the new Barbie movie. She wrote in the caption, "A lot of my own audience is not going to happy with what I share today, some of you may send me a lot of angst but I share this note as a concerned parent to Barbie! And for the other parents out there, don't make the mistake I did and please do check before you take your child for the film, that choice is yours! #responsibleparentingwithjuhi #parenting #responsibleparenting #parent."

She started off her elaborate note with, "Dear Barbie, I start with owning up to my mistake, I took my 10-year-old daughter Samairra to watch your film without researching the fact that it was a "PG-13" movie. 10 minutes into the movie, inappropriate language, sexual connotations and I was anxiously running out of the theatre wondering what had I just exposed my child to. She had been waiting to watch your film and here I was just shocked, disappointed and heartbroken with what I had just exposed her to. I was the first one to walk out of the movie within 10/15 minutes and by the time I reach out, I saw other parents following with their little ones crying."

On the second page of her post, she recounted her childhood days when she used to have Barbie dolls and how Barbie holds an important part in everyone's life. The actress also slammed Hindi filmmakers. She wrote: Half of our Hindi movies have so much inappropriate content, at least you were labelled Pg-13, our Hindi movies aren't and then parents end up exposing their kids to content like rape, suicides, sexual connotations and whatnot. (sic)

The 'Kumkum' actress also questioned the makers of Barbie and wrote, "WHY DID YOU BREAK THE PERFECT ILLUSION OF BARBIE? Why make Barbie inappropriate for kids and a pg-13 movie rather than one that everyone could enjoy with family. I wish I could erase the memory of this film and continue believing in a picture-perfect Barbie for my child who has a collection of yours and loves you so much."

Many netizens took to the comment section to express their view on what Parmar wrote. Some slammed her while some supported her thoughts. "Yk instead of posting a review based on 10-15 minutes of the movie, maybe try watching the entire thing and then form an opinion? Also in your entire post you give no example of what was even inappropriate in the movie. The reason it's PG-13 is because Barbie is a functioning adult and the movie has themes deeper than a child could ever understand. The only reason you're pissed is because they showed Barbie as an actual woman and not just the perfect idea you've been feeding your kids. If you watched the entire thing (with or without your kid) you would have been able to write a more intellectual review than whatever this post is," wrote a user.

Another user wrote, "Barbie was an illusion, yes! You said it! Do you know how many women are insecure, under confident and have body image issues because of this particular ILLUSION!!! It had to be broken! Also, Barbie was an adult, she can do all sorts of adult stuff, so it's your fault that you took your daughter for the movie without reading any sort of review or summary about it. Just because the name of the movie is ‘Barbie' doesn't mean it's a princess movie made for kids!!! Such an unnecessary post!"
