Munawar Faruqui
Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 17 went on air on Sunday. Comedian Munawar Faruqui is one of the 17 contestants of the reality show. He has been the winner of the first season of Lock Upp. In an exclusive conversation with Mid-Day.com, Munawar spoke about the pressure that comes along after winning a reality show. Talking about signing Bigg Boss 17 post-Lock Upp, the comedian said it is a great opportunity for him.
Munawar said in the interview, "Fans and people who saw me on Lock Upp gave me so much love. They wanted to see more of me. After OTT, I got a chance to feature on television. So, I looked at it as a major opportunity and I wanted to do TV. If we are coming on TV for the first time and too in such a big show, then it will be a treat for the fans and the audience."
According to him, winning a reality show in the past doesn't come with enough merits. He explained, "The bar is set very high when you win a show. So, you have to decide if it is positive or negative. A lot depends on your actions. You have to do better and go a step above. There is pressure and I don't think it has any benefit."

Will Munawar play with his Dil (heart) or 'Dimag' (Mind)? He shared, "Of course, heart. The mind is always on its own."
Munawar said he doesn't fear ugly fights as he cannot see himself engaged in one. "Yes, I am prepared and I am very responsible with whatever I do and say. I don't think that any of my actions would lead to an ugly fight. But if someone's action leads to an ugly fight, I will be the last person who will make it ugly. I don't have that stress."
The comedian expressed his desire to win Bigg Boss 17. Opening up about his expectations from the show, Munawar said, "I don't have any expectations from Bigg Boss 17. I have a lot of expectations from myself that I win the show. It is my first and last wish to win the show and participate in it."
