The sixth installment of Dance+ has proven to break barriers with respect to performing and conceptualising art. Giving us back-to-back, mind-blowing performances after another with difficult challenges and props, the contestants this season have left no stone unturned to entertain captains, the Super Judge and viewers at home.
While the competition slowly inches towards its finale week, choosing the top 5 contenders has become a task for the Super Judge. In the upcoming episodes from Monday through Wednesday, we see the contestants fight it out on stage to secure their positions among the top 5 and a chance at the season title. But in the wake of neck-to-neck competition, we come across a very heartfelt moment between captain Punit J Pathak and super Judge Remo D'Souza in today's episode.
Elated with the mesmerising performance by the celebrated dance crew from Team Punit, Hot Indians, famous for their industry experience as background dancers, captain Punit J Pathak thanked the stage of Dance+ to having provided life altering opportunities to contestants throughout seasons. This opportunity has given many a chance for their craft to be recognised, and for them to gain the exposure that they otherwise would not have had.
Expressing his gratitude towards the foundation of Dance+, Super Judge Remo D'Souza, Punit says, "These 5 people standing on the stage are representative of thousands of people in our industry. They aren't a crew, they are individual freelancing artists who have experienced all that they can as individuals, and have now decided to come together as a group. The actors stand in front of the spotlight whilst these artists stand in shadow. I want to thank Dance+ because they are no more in the background, instead they are shining purely because of their talent. I want to thank you, Remo Sir, because it's through you that these background dancers have received a much deserved artists limelight."
