Exclusive: ‘Devoleena Bhattacharjee is going to be my mental strength,’ says Rashami Desai

Rashami Desai, who had earlier been part of Bigg Boss 13 is set to re-enter the house, as a wildcard on Bigg Boss 15. Joining her are Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Abhijit Bichukale. Rashami speaks to mid-day.com about her plans this time around.

What was your reaction when you were approached for Bigg Boss 15?
I was in a dilemma, whether I should do the show or not. It wasn't an easy decision for me, I took my time and finally said let's do this.

You came close to being a top contestant on Bigg Boss 13 but missed out on winning, are you planning to do something different this time?
I hope and pray the win happens with all the support of people. My journey the last time around wasn't easy because people already had their preferences, this time it shouldn't be like that.

The perception would be you are better prepared than most contestants since you have been part of an earlier season…
People like to see the raw sides of contestants, you can't be fully prepared. Insaan galti karke hi seekhta hai and there's nothing wrong in it. I hope my audience will like what I show them this time and people support me.

You are entering with Devoleena Bhattacharjee and you both are known to get along very well…
She's a wonderful person and definitely going to be my mental strength. I hope that is the case, because our choices are different. I also have some friends inside the house but I'm going to be there for Devoleena when she needs me and I'm sure she will be there when I need her.

What are your thoughts about the other wildcard Abhijit Bichukale?
He's an interesting man. Zabaan achi rakhenge toh rishtey unke bhi achche banenge.

You are close to Jay Bhanushali and Umar Riaz, both have been told from time to time that they need to be seen more…
Jay is doing well and I'm loving his game and so is Umar. It happens that one week is good, the second is not and the third is good again. So the game keeps changing all the time and that's how it should be. No matter what, I will be loyal to the relationships that I want to maintain and standby the words that I speak. Sometimes, things are complicated but I take my time and see… agar insaan sahi hai toh kyun nahi? Bani toh theek nahi bani toh gale lag ke pyaar nahi karne wali kisi se.
