TV actress and former co-star Barkha Bisht Sengupta has reportedly lashed out at late 'Mahakali' actor Gagan Kang's friends, who posted condolence messages on social media, for skipping his funeral in Mumbai.
TV actors Gagan Kang (38) and Arijit Lavania (30) were killed in a road accident on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Palghar district near the city on Sunday morning. Gagan and Arijit had acted in mythological TV serial 'Mahakali: Anth Hi Arambh Hai'.

In an interview with Tellychakkar.com, Barkha Bisht said, "Why were the others who posted on social media not present there yesterday? They claimed to be his friends, right? I knew him very well and it is heartbreaking. He loved life and was a god-fearing man. At times, he would be late on the sets because he would be busy with his daily pooja. It makes me question the existence of God."
She rubbished reports of Gagan Kang being allegedly drunk while driving the car on the day of the accident.
"He would barely drink. He was a vegetarian during the festival periods. He was a non-smoker. So I cannot believe, he was drunk. He liked speeding indeed but he was careful and not reckless," Barkha said.

While speaking about Gagan's mother, Barkha Bisht said, "I'm a mother myself and trust me, nothing for a mother is worse than the death of her child."
