April Fool’s Day: THIS is how 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chahmah' star Sunayana Fozdar got pranked

Mid-day.com caught up with some popular actors and got them to spill the beans on the best prank they have played on someone or became the victim of one, on April Fool's Day.

Here's actress Sunayana Fozdar aka Anjali from SAB TV's popular comedy show 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', sharing how the cast and crew of one of her previous shows made her the target of their prank.

Sunayana said, "It was on the sets one of my shows, where the entire team played a prank on me because you play pranks on people you are close to and consider as your own. That show was close to my heart and the entire team treated me like a kid on set. We were shooting a crucial scene and the whole track was focused on me. I was suddenly told I would be dying in the show and my character would see it's end. I was one of the central characters, so I was in shock but, they said they want to give the audience a shock value. This prank went on for two days. Finally I got to know it was all a joke and was upset, initially. They then got a cake for me and tried to cheer me up. That was a crazy prank because I was really close to that show and character but now I do understand it was just a joke."

Sunayana made her debut with the daily soap ‘Santaan' in 2007, followed by shows like ‘Adaalat,' ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan,' ‘Belan Wali Bahu' and many more. She has been part of the cast of 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' since 2020, where she plays Tarak's wife Anjali Tarak Mehta.
