So it's Samar Shah's birthday in 'Anupamaa', and the family has decided to throw a surprise party for him. They pretend as though no one remembers his birthday and Samar gets quite upset because of that. He was hoping that Nandini would at least remember his birthday, but he was left disappointed again. Nandini twists her ankle and when Samar helps her and takes her inside the house, she surprises him with a cupcake. And as a gift to him, Nandini gets an LOL tattoo on her wrist.

Later, the family surprises Samar and they dance to "Chote tera birthday aaya". Kavya gets upset because Vanraj did not discuss Samar's gift with her, though he apologises to her, he also mentions that this is the first time he remembered his birthday. When everyone gives Samar their gifts, Vanraj gives him a guitar. And as her gift, Anupamaa asks Baa to agree to Samar and Nandini's wedding. What will Baa do? Will she agree? Also, Anupamaa tells Kavya that when one becomes a mother, they start to prioritise their kids before anything in the world. How will this affect Kavya?
