Adhvik Mahajan, who is best known for his character 'Sohum' from Maahi - Ishq Da Kalma', walked down the memory lane from his childhood on the occasion of Janmashtami. The actor, who is currently seen playing the role of Jogi in 'Teri Meri Ikk Jindri,' opposite Amandeep Sidhu (Mahi) shared in a candid conversation with midday.com, how important the festival has been as a part of his childhood. Adhvik, born and bought up in Punjab, has fond memories of celebrating 'Krishna Janma'.

Adhvik Mahajan who plays the role of Jogi in Zee TV's Teri Meri Ikk Jindri reveals, "When it comes to Janmashtami, I have noticed the fervour and celebratory mood of people across India. Everyone is equally enthusiastic about celebrating Krishna's birth and even I love celebrating the festival in my own special way. While I don't usually follow all the customs, I do make it a point to visit the ISKON temple in Mumbai every year. I also love the Dahi-Handi celebrations that take place in the city around this time. In fact, I also remember the celebrations that I witnessed in Punjab when I was a kid."

Adhvik Mahajan also stated, "The temples would be decorated days before the festival and a mela would be held, where you can relish delicious food items as well as play some fun games. These are some of the best memories that I have of the festival. Janmashtami is also special for me because my Dad was born on this day and that's why my grandmother named him Krishnan. Do, it's a dual celebration for us, and I look forward to a fun but low-key celebration this year as well. Here's wishing everyone a Happy Janmashtami, stay safe and stay happy!"

Speaking about the show, it has been successful in entertaining the masses through its unique love story of two starkly different personalities - Mahi (Amandeep Sidhu) and Jogi (Adhvik Mahajan). Having received immense love and appreciation in the last few months, the untiring efforts of both the stars have finally paid off.
