Suyyash Rai
Actor Suyyash Rai, who will be playing for Mumbai Tigers in place of his old team Delhi Dragons in Ekta Kapoor and Anand Mishra's MTV BCL, says that it's fun to be with new people. The actor, who has been playing in BCL since the last three years, says that he loves being part of the tournament. "I chose to play in BCL this year because I have been the part of BCL since the last three years now and I am one of the few players who actually made BCL possible, that's what I think. First, I decided that I won't play this year, but the closer it came, the more I wanted to play," he says.
The actor adds, "The makers didn't want Delhi to be that strong so they chose to divide the team, so that all the teams are equally strong. That's how I joined Mumbai Tigers. It's fun playing with the new team. I have friends here as well. It's a good team and there's a lot to learn and teach."
In fact, Suyyash is waiting to play against Delhi Dragons. "There are no challenges as such, it's just Delhi Dragons has been the strongest team all this while and I am waiting for a match against Delhi. It will be awesome," he says.

The actor admits that it can get quite challenging to practice every day. "It becomes difficult to take out time for such projects. Especially, if you are doing a daily soap, you leave the house at seven or eight in the morning and by the time you wrap and come home, it's 10-11pm, and that's when you leave for your practice. Then you play from 11pm to 1-2am and by the time you sleep, it's 3:30am. Again, the next day, you have to get up at6.30am and go for shoot. So, it's definitely difficult. There is no pressure on us that you have to practice. It's totally our own choice and we are happy doing it. When we are shooting for 14 hours, we don't get time for a workout, so this is kind of a workout. It keeps you fit as well and because I love cricket, so for me it's a great thing," he says.
He adds, "Since the time I have joined Mumbai for BCL, I have been practising from day 1. So, I started practising around 7th of February and it's almost 19th now. We practice every single day for 3 to 4 hours. I have not missed even a single day of practice. I think for BCL, these 3 hours practice is more than enough. It gets really hot where we practice, it gets humid there and we are all sweaty. Also, I think cycling is the best workout and I play a lot of squash."
In fact, Suyyash has been in love with cricket since his childhood. "Cricket has been my life. I think the first thing I remember after I came to my senses is cricket. I remember my first birthday cake was a cricket pitch. That's what my mom tells me. So, I have been connected to cricket for a long time and I played and represented Punjab and Chandigarh as well. I have been in association with cricket for very long time and half of the nation knows this after Bigg Boss," he says.
