Actor Shashank Vyas recently came back from a week-long trip to Jammu-Kashmir and he shares that why this trip is special to him. "My first visit to Vaishno Devi temple is really memorable, I had a very good darshan and also been to the first-morning aarti. It was a magical moment. My friend for eighteen years also joined me in my trip. We started going up at midnight and next day around 4 we reached the temple.
The walk was quite strenuous but we managed well as we used to take breaks in between. Early morning when we reached the temple it was a different feeling altogether. The weather was very cold but there was no snow. When I was walking barefoot in the temple I could feel the temperature. After witnessing the Aarti we came down." Speaking on his belief in Gods Shashank says,"I always believed there is a special power-up above and I get a lot of peace when I feel that connection. I am from Ujjain so I believe the power of Mahadev a lot."
After that Shashank went to Kashmir where he had a great time with the snow. He adds,"Kashmir was beautiful, I have no words to explain the beauty of the valley. I just felt the valley is not explored by so many people, I felt completely secured. I think more people should visit Kashmir and explore the heaven on earth." What do you most like about travelling? "Investment in travel is an investment in yourself. I believe while travelling one should collect moments not things. Travelling unwind me completely. I love to meet real people in life.

People know me as an actor but in real life I love to interact with common people, love to observe them. When I travel if sometime people don't recognise me as Shashank Vyas I enjoy that because what I look in front of the camera I look quite different off the camera. And then there are fans who does recognise me. An actor should always spent time in travelling, through that you get to know so many things. I love to be on the local conveyance which gives me the feeling that I also belong to this place." Any special thing which you have bought from Kashmir?"A lot of dry fruits which will give me energy post my work out sessions and also Kesar which am planning to use in cooking, you get the best of dry fruits there in Kashmir."
