Amid rumours of a split with TV actress Kavita Kaushik, Nawab Shah seems to be on shaky ground as far as his character on recently-launched daily soap, 'Nagarjuna - Ek Yoddha', is concerned. Sources say the actor has been throwing tantrums on set, forcing the makers to consider killing off his character. The show went on air at the end of May.

A source says, "Nawab has been interfering in creative decisions, dictating how his character should shape up. That is why his character will be killed. It is not clear now if he will be brought back on the show later."
The show's producer, Yash Patnaik, says all's well on the set. "Nawab is a talented actor and we have been friends for decades. He is a professional and we have had no problems," he adds.
Clarifying the tantrum allegations and buzz of his impending exit, Nawab says, "When an actor gives suggestions for dialogues, it is termed a tantrum. Nagarjuna is a fantasy show and any character can exit any time. I am not quitting. I always wanted to do good shows; that's my only demand. Yes, I have asked them not to put me in a scene when not required. We will be shooting a sequence where I shall vanish and what happens after that, you will find out eventually."
Is he happy with the show? "Yes," he says and adds, "At times, I do see lack of content. The track doesn't always play as per plan. On the set, you have to act in spite of changes incorporated by the channel or production house. A lot is lost in translation because Yash is in his office, the channel officials are somewhere else and the creative team is always running around."
