A four-episode stint as judges of a music reality show has been extended to term after music composers Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, aka Sachin-Jigar, were able to boost its ratings. The duo was roped in to join the mentors' panel of devotional music show Om Shanti Om, which is being judged by Sonakshi Sinha, Shekhar Ravjiani and Kanika Kapoor.

Their temporary appointment was decided upon due to Kapoor's absence at an episode following a personal emergency. However, their reception from Gujarati viewers has encouraged the makers to keep them aboard till the end. A source says, "The channel was happy with Sachin-Jigar's on-screen presence. Being a sensation among Gujaratis, the makers received great feedback from them. Since Shekhar shares a good rapport with the duo, he wanted them to continue as judges. They will shoot for all the episodes, as per their availability. The show will now have five judges."
Sanghvi says that while the duo had to decline offers to judge music reality shows in the past, owing to their film assignments, the makers of this outing were accommodating of their schedule. Saraiya adds that the format of the show, which blends traditional and contemporary tunes, appealed to them. "It reflects our musical sensibilities. We were told the channel appreciated our contribution and decided we should continue. We have received a fantastic response from our fans," Saraiya says.
