Shilpa Shinde reveals the conversation she had with Salman Khan post her win.

Leaving behind Hina Khan, Vikas Gupta and Puneesh Sharma, 'people's choice' Shilpa Shinde emerged as the Bigg Boss 11's winner, after battling the ups and downs in the 'Bigg Boss' house for three months. She swept away Rs 44 lakhs along with the coveted trophy as the winning prize. Though she was already declared a winner on social media, it was when Salman Khan held Shilpa's hand and announced her as the winner that social media exhaled peacefully. Shinde is glad that she won't be typecast as any television character now but would be known as 'Shilpa Shinde'. The actress claimed that she'll never work in television serials but will fetch out for other options in that arena. Here, while talking to mid-day online, the chirpy and all at glee, the 'Maa' (mother) of the 'Bigg Boss' house reveals her equation with Arshi Khan, Vikas Gupta and superstar host, Salman Khan, who was accused of being bias towards her.

Excerpts from the interview:

What were the thoughts and emotions when you held the trophy in your hand?
It was an amazing experience. Last 10 seasons, I have only seen other people holding the winner's trophy but this time I was a part of it, I was holding that trophy. It's still unbelievable! It was a great experience. I still need to sink into it. I was completely blank when I was announced as the winner. There were a lot of things that were happening, live poll, we had gone live, so it was occupied. Yes, I was little scared. I was confident but not over-confident but that tickling was going on. I was completely blank at that time when he (Salman Khan) held my hand up and said, "Shilpa". I couldn't believe because he was kidding before that. I thought maybe it's a joke, I was shocked. I used to think 'I'm supposed to cry when I get this trophy'. But at that time, I was really shocked. It was that kind of a feeling.

Would you like to share your win with somebody or a family member?
No, I really want to give this credit to just one person, Salman Khan. When I was inside the house, I did not know a lot of things and Salman helped me. So, a lot of people in the house thought that he was biased towards me. He used to watch the entire journey and whenever I had problems to communicate or express or even if I was upset with other things around me in the house, it would bother me. I was very nice with the other contestants, so whenever anything happened, I couldn't understand that why was it happening. It was then that Salmanji would take my side and would cover up. So, therefore I'll give all the credit to Salman Khan.

What did Salman Khan speak to you post your win?
He was talking to me in Marathi and said, 'I just saw your mother closely, she is so cute and she reminds me of my grandmother.' That's because his mom is also Maharashtrian. So, that's it, nothing else.

Talking about Arshi Khan, despite the differences you'll had in the house she still said she wants Shilpa to win and she was your biggest supporter outside?
Arshi Khan is a mystery. She was very close and very possessive about me. From second day onwards, we were together in the house. She would love me but the time I would talk to somebody else, maybe, Akash Dadlani or Puneesh Sharma, she would get very insecure. So, in that way, the way she behaved I would always pinpoint at everything she did. For instance, I would advise her to wear certain kinds of clothes and behave in a certain manner and she would say don't try being a mother. Later on, she realised that whatever I said was correct and she tried changing herself also. She got complimented also for it by Salman sir. After that, I don't know what happened, it was a game and everyone over here is a competitor. Who's giving what ear to anyone, we don't know. There was nothing major or any kind of big fight. I don't know why her behaviour changed but she was possessive. When she came out, it's then that she realised that I was right and she had done something wrong.

In the last few weeks, we saw Vikas Gupta and your bond grew stronger. So, will you be friends with him even outside the house?
We were together in the house, so, there was no other option. Yes, he was nice to me in the house. Outside, I don't think so he'll become my friend but obviously, we'll keep in touch and maintain a nice relationship. Nothing like we wouldn't see each other's face or we'll ignore each other if we cross paths. Whatever differences we had they are all sorted now. Obviously, I promised him in a task that I will do a small web series with him. So, I will definitely work with him.

Cooking for 19 people is not a small task. Now, that the entire nation is aware of your cooking skills, would you take up a cookery show?
Yes, I love cooking but that was a responsibility more than a need. I would want to call it a need because nobody wanted to work there. Everybody, there, was very lazy. So, that became my responsibility and I have done my job very nicely. That's why everyone started calling me 'mom' and I cooked with the same selfless emotion for everyone, no expectation. I thought whatever it is God is watching.

In the 'Bigg Boss' house, you said that you wouldn't do television shows anymore. Then what other things are you considering?
It's very difficult in television. There they typecast you and you become popular with your character name (hinting at her popular 'Angoori' bhabhi character from the show 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain') Now, after 'Bigg Boss', I have come out of that character, I am Shilpa Shinde. I don't want to go back in any kind of character. That's why I'm now interested in reality shows. I would love to host shows or a comedy show. I don't know exactly what I want to do on TV, it's really difficult but definitely quality work.
