Shardul Pandit
Actor Shardul Pandit, who will be anchoring Ekta Kapoor and Anand Mishra's MTV BCL for the second time, says that he is looking forward to it. The actor says that while it is fun, cricket can be a risky affair as well. "It feels awesome being the main attraction among 200 TV actors and having the most crucial job. It's fun but is also a risky job. Last year people saw how I handled many controversial topics and in fact, Divyanka even wrote on social media that no one can handle it like me. But above all, I made such good friends and that was my main reason to come back," he says.
He adds, "It's a super fun platform where TV actors come and play cricket. TV has the hugest reach and this is one platform where all of us can show who we really are. We are at our casual best, unlike in other scripted shows."
Another reason that brought Shradul on board this time was the fact that the show was being aired on MTV. "This is my first association with MTV and I am very excited. Since I was a kid, I wanted to be a MTV VJ but other things happened and I didn't get a chance," he says, adding, "The audience of MTV is totally different and I really wanted do something for the youth, the casual, cool crowd of MTV. I connect well with them in terms of language, thinking and styling. I love the youth and hence I am looking forward to being their voice as an anchor and commentator."

The actor says that he has always enjoyed hosting. "Anchoring shows like these mean that there is no script for the commentator. I have to create engaging, funny content continuously for 12 hours a day. That's where my radio experience comes handy. All players finish their matches and go, anchors recite lines from a teleprompter written by someone but a commentator is the life of the show and is responsible for it being boring or entertaining," he says.
He also likes working with both Ekta and Anand. "I love Ekta Kapoor, she is a visionary. We all know that the woman had changed the face of TV and now web. She always brings concepts which people think aren't possible. Imagine getting 200 actors under one show," he says, adding, "Anand is like a friend who believed in me and kept insisting that he wants me to be part of BCL. He is super relaxed and fun. I love people who believe in my talent and let me be as I am."
