RRR superstar Ram Charan and Upasana were friends long before their romantic relationship. Rumour has it that they first met at the Padma Seshadri Bhavan in Chennai where they studied together up until the ninth grade

They stayed in touch on platonic even after they pursued different paths after graduating. Their love story started brewing in 2008 after the release of Ram Charan's 'Magadheera' - and the couple started seeing each other privately

In 2011, Ram Charan and Upasana exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony in Hyderabad. The couple apparently had no need to keep their relationship under wraps as their families had always been in favour of the match!

After eleven years of marriage, the power couple were blessed with their first child. They announced the happy news on social media and wishes poured in almost immediately

On Mother's Day, Upasana shared a picture of her baby bump and captioned it with an empowering message with resonated with women and mothers-to-be across India. She said that her decision to have a baby was when she felt physically and emotionally prepared for parenthood, and not to strengthen her marriage or carry on a legacy or lineage. "I am proud to embrace motherhood for all the right reasons," she said

Ram Charan and Upasana set couple and parent goals from the very beginning by being transparent about their journey of parenthood. They also threw baby showers in Dubai and their home city of Hyderabad - the pictures of which took the Internet by storm

The parties were attended by their close friends and family including Pinky Reddy, Sania Mirza, Kanika Kapoor, Allu Arjun

Family members also graced the occasion, including the actor's sisters Sushmita and Sreeja. Upasana seemed flushed with the glow of motherhood in her pinky shimmery ensemble

The baby shower was also attended by Ram Charan's parents Chiranjeevi and Surekha Konidela; Upasana's mother, Ms Shobana Kamineni and Sangita Reddy

The perfectly designed event - from the white theme, to the personalized cake and adorable baby accessories around the venue made headlines once again. Upasana, who was in her seventh month of pregnancy thanked her 'sisters' for the 'best baby shower ever'

RRR won several awards at the 2023 Oscars. Upasana had accompanied her husband Ram Charan for the event. Ahead of the Oscars, the couple carved out some quality time to and shared glimpses of their Los Angeles babymoon on social media. They seemed to have a perfect time sighting whales and dolphins at sea

Ram Charan and Upasana welcomed their first child, a baby girl on June 20th at Apollo Hospital Jubilee Hills Hyderabad. The couple received a special gift - a tune by the Oscar Winning singer and their close friend Kaala Bhairava, who sang 'Naatu Naatu'

The family conducted a beautiful naming ceremony for their daughter in Hyderabad on June 30. On her Instagram stories, Upasana shared sneak peaks of the ongoing prep. The videos showed a spacious verandah-style space tastefully decorated with mango leaves and white flowers. A tree-like structure had been created in the middle of the courtyard – and the natural minimalist theme accentuated the significance of the occasion

Ram Charan took to Instagram to officially announce the name of their daughter on behalf of both sets of her grandparents. “With the blessings of the Chenchu Tribal Goddess – Bhauramma Devi, we introduce our beloved granddaughter Klin Kaara Konidela.” The message also explained the meaning of the name – “Taken from the Lalitha Sahasranamam the name signifies a transformative, purifying energy that brings about a spiritual awakening,” he said

The RRR actor also shared a few photos from the ceremony. The entire family was elegantly dressed in traditional colours of white and gold. They stood behind the cradle adorned with jasmine flowers

Ram Charan's father and veteran actor Chiranjeevi was especially elated about the birth of their granddaughter. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Welcome Little Mega Princess!! You have spread cheer among the Mega Family of millions on your arrival as much as you have made the blessed parents @AlwaysRamCharan& @upasanakonidelaand us grandparents, Happy and Proud!!”

TW: Upasana also shared a video where the family received a gift from the Prajwala Foundation. The Foundation gifted baby Klin Kaara a cradle, handcrafted by brave women carpenters who are survivors of sex trafficking

The couple also shared glimpses of the nursery they had envisioned for their baby. Ram Charan and Upasana are nature lovers and have a special reverence for the forest - as could also be seen through Klin Kara's naming ceremony decor. The video showed the making of the baby's forest-themed nursery, which had been designed with a minimalist theme and soothing, muted colour palette in mind
