Actress Sai Tamhankar's repertoire (Hunterrr, Love Sonia, Sathi Re and Kasturi) is proof that she can juggle television and the big screen with equal ease, other than the fact that the Marathi actress has a fanbase among the Hindi audience too. Born on June 25, 1986, Sai Tamhankar's hometown is Sangli, Maharashtra.

Sai Tamhankar first took to stage in Sangli. She first acted in her mother's best friend's play. Though Sai knew nothing about acting, then, she thought of giving it a try and eventually loved the process and the rehearsals

Coming back to her professional journey, Sai Tamhankar proved that she does not shy away from being bold and daring off and onscreen. In the Harshvardhan Kulkarni-directed film Hunterrr, which released in 2015, Sai played a Marathi housewife who gets attracted to a sex addict (played by Gulshan Devaiah). The humour-laced drama about the life and times of the sex addict also starred Radhika Apte and Veera Saxena in prominent roles.

In the meanwhile, she continued acting in Marathi films and is one of the A-listers in the film industry. Talking about her journey, juggling between TV and Films, the Marathi film industry and Hindi, Sai said, "Well, I am not that kind of a person who would strike a balance or who would plan many things. I am a person, who just goes with the flow. That's what I have been doing and that's what has been working for me. I don't really know how am I striking the balance, but yeah, I would do anything and everything interesting, out of the box that comes in my way, regardless of the language"

Sai Tamhankar will be next seen in Luka Chuppi director Laxman Uterkar's film Mimi, starring Kriti Sanon. The slice-of-life film, also featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak, is an adaptation of the Marathi movie, 'Mala Aai Vhhaychy' (2011), and has Sanon play a surrogate mother
