After the trailer of Amazon Prime Video's Telugu flick, 'Ek Mini Katha' dropped online, it made all the right noises receiving immense love from the audience and critics. Its makers, director Karthik Ropalu and writer Merlapaka Gandhi who has many films to his credit, including the path breaking entertainer, Venkatadri Express, which is written and directed by him, have dealt with a rather sensitive subject, in a light, tongue-in-cheek way. The romantic comedy starring Santosh Shoban and Kavya Thapar revolves around a common but less spoken about phychological issue faced by the protagonist, Santosh. Given the nature of the subject, it could have easily gone into a different space but Merlapaka Gandhi was very careful of not letting that happen while keeping the sensitivity intact. He aimed at making a perfect family entertainer that could be enjoyed by all, without any hesitation.

The film also has received much love and appreciation from the audiences and critics. It has been lauded for its unique concept and story idea. However, there were quite a few challenges dealing with a subject like this, making it a complete family entertainer. One of them was not crossing that thin line. Shares the writer, "When I was writing this film, my first concern was that there were chances the humour could've crossed a certain line. I wanted to keep the sensitivity in check. Our aim was to being out a clean family entertainer."
Not just Gandhi but the entire creative team including the director, made sure that in no way does the film look or sound cheap. Gandhi further adds, "Even while shooting the film, we had a line that we didn't want to cross and make the film look risqué. We were carefull with the dialogues and expressions also. We always wanted to address this issue but as a family entertainer."

And they achieved that goal effectively. 'Ek Mini Katha' is a hilarious journey of Santosh's struggles and ordeals dealing with his problem, that is a cause of embarassment in the society.
Apart from Santosh and Kavya, 'Ek Mini Katha' also features an ensemble cast of Shraddha Das, Brahmaji, Saptagiri, Sudarshan, Posani Krishna Murali and Harsha Vardhan. 'Ek Mini Katha' is directed by Karthik Rapolu and produced by UV Concepts.
