Roohi and Senthil Kumar
Popular cinematographer Senthil Kumar is going through a tough time as he lost his wife Roohi aka Ruheenaaz on Thursday. The yoga instructor was suffering from multiple health issues and took her last breath on Thursday at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad. Roohi was undergoing treatment for the last few days but she died due to multiple organ failure, says a representative.
Senthil's team also released a press statement that reads, "Cinematographer Senthil's wife #Roohi garu passed away (on Thursday) at 2 pm. Final rites (on Friday) at 9 am at Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills. (sic)"
Roohi's family posted a note about her death on her handle as well. "You filled our hearts with love. You brought light and joy into so many of our lives. Can't fathom that you are no more with us. While you left us in body, your spirit will always be with each and every soul you touched. We wish you a peaceful journey to your heavenly abode. Love you, Ruhee," the note read.

Soon after the tragic news was shared, fans of the cinematographer and well-wishers took to social media to offer condolences. Some fans shared old pictures of Roohi and Senthil with Prabhas and Anushka Shetty on the 'Baahubali' sets.
Roohi was a well-known yoga instructor who worked with several celebrities including Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, and Ileana D'Cruz. She used to head Bharat Thakur's yoga classes for the Hyderabad division. She was active on social media and often shared pictures and videos with her family.
Senthil and Roohi got married in 2009 and have two sons. The cinematographer reportedly took time off work recently to look after his wife. Senthil has always worked in Hyderabad while Roohi hailed from Mumbai. Work brought her to Mumbai and the two met and eventually fell in love. They got married and then Roohi had moved to Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Senthil is a constant member of ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli's team. The duo has worked together in multiple films including blockbusters 'RRR' and 'Baahubali' franchise. They worked together in blockbusters like RRR, Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali: The Conclusion, Magadheera, Arundhati, Yamadonga, Chatrapathi, Eega, and Sye.
