Rajinikanth and Aishwaryaa Dhanush in the viral picture
A picture of Rajinikanth with daughter Aishwaryaa Dhanush is doing the rounds of social media. It is said to be clicked outside a medical centre in the US, where he is undergoing tests. Over a week ago, the veteran superstar took off to the US for a routine check-up. The Thalaiva was unable to travel earlier due to shooting commitments and Covid-19 restrictions. Fans have been wishing him good health. Rajnikanth, who was all set to join politics had activated the Rajni Fans club "Rajini Makkal Mandram", across the state during 2020 and was to announce his political entry. However, after some health ailments, and on expert medical advice, he opted out of the race. Rajinikanth had undergone kidney replacement surgery in the US four years ago.
Speaking about the actor, Rajinikanth was born on December 12, 1950, as Shivajirao Gaikwad in a Marathi family settled in then Bangalore.

Later, the actor was named after Maratha warrior ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji. Rajinikanth was the fourth child of Jijabai and Ramojirao Gaikwad. His father was a police constable. His mother died when he was eight. Early in his career, while doing a stage play at the Madras Film Institute, Rajinikanth, whose mother tongue is Marathi, was advised by noted filmmaker K Balachander to learn Tamil. He mastered the language soon and thus began his celluloid journey which made him a demigod. Rajinikanth was presented with Indian cinema's highest honour The Dadasaheb Phalke Award on May 3.
