Prakash Raj criticises PM Narendra Modi, threatens to return National Awards

Prakash Raj has threatened to return the five National awards as "bigger actors including Prime Minister Narendra Modi" deserve the honour instead.

While speaking at an event in Bengaluru recently on the PM's silence about the killing of journalist Gauri Lankesh, the Singham (2011) and Dabangg 2 (2012) actor said, "A certain section is celebrating the murder of the journalist and the government's silence is unacceptable." Raj, who grew up in Bengaluru, was Lankesh's buddy for 30 years.
