The makers of Nag Ashwin's upcoming movie 'Kalki 2898 AD' have announced the new release date for the film. The film which was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on May 9, 2024 will now be released in theatres on June 27, 2024. The film boasts of an interesting ensemble including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan.
Taking to the official handle of the movie on X (formerly Twitter), they wrote, "All the forces come together for a better tomorrow on ΓΒ°ΓΒΓΒΓΒΓΒ°ΓΒΓΒΓΒ-ΓΒ°ΓΒΓΒΓΒΓΒ°ΓΒΓΒΓΒ-ΓΒ°ΓΒΓΒΓΒΓΒ°ΓΒΓΒΓΒΓΒ°ΓΒΓΒΓΒΓΒ°ΓΒΓΒΓΒ." The makers also dropped a new poster of the film featuring Deepika, Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.

A recent glimpse into the world of Kalki 2898 AD through Amitabh Bachchan's character as Ashwatthama left fans in awe, particularly with the stunning de-aging transformation of the legendary actor. The character reveal video, a true pan-India teaser, showcased a blend of languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and English.
The teaser promo, aired on Star Sports, showed Bachchan draped in yellow attire, depicted praying before a Shiva linga inside a cave. When asked who he is by a child, he responds, "Since ancient times, I have awaited the arrival of the Avatar. I am Guru Drona's son. Ashwatthama."
On Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan shared his thoughts about working on the movie on his social media account, "T 4988 - It's been an experience for me like no other .. Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is set to be the biggest cinematic event of the year. With an incredible cast and backed by Vyjayanthi Movies, it's gearing up for its release on 27th June, 2024.
