Ramoji Rao
Ramoji Rao, the head of the ETV Network and Ramoji Film City has passed away at the age of 87. He was undergoing treatment in Hyderabad. According to reports, on June 5, he was hospitalised following high blood pressure and breathlessness. However, he passed away in the early hours of June 8, Saturday.
His remains have been shifted to his residence at Ramoji Film City. Several prominent political leaders and film personalities are expected to arrive in Hyderabad to pay their last respects.
After the news of his demise surfaced, several celebrities took to social media to mourn the demise of the legendary Ramoji Rao. Telugu superstar Jr NTR was among the first to pen a note of condolence. He took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote a note in Telugu. It is roughly translated to, "Visionaries like Sri Ramoji Rao are one in a million. A media tycoon and a giant of Indian cinema, his absence is irreparable. The news that he is no longer with us is very sad. I will never forget the memories when I was introduced to the Telugu film industry with the film 'Ninnu Chhadalani'. May his soul rest in peace and convey my deepest condolences to his family."

Senior BJP leader G Kishan Reddy condoled his death and said that his "remarkable contributions" to Telugu media and journalism are "commendable".
"Saddened by the passing of Shri Ramoji Rao garu. His remarkable contributions to Telugu media and journalism is commendable. My deepest condolences to his family members," Mr Reddy posted on X.
Actor Manoj Manchu also paid tribute to the man with his words. "Deeply saddened by the loss of Ramoji Rao Garu. Since I was a child, I always looked up to him. His remarkable journey and legacy inspire us all. May his soul rest in peace. Sending strength to the family and loved ones. Om Shanti ðÂÂÂð¼
