Ever since its announcement, the upcoming sci-fi epic âKalki 2898 AD' has firmly established itself as one of the most extraordinary Indian films ever made. Ready to offer a technically and visually extravagant cinematic experience unlike anything before, the film boasts an impressive star cast and promises a unique insight into Indian mythology. The mass entertainer stars Prabhas as âBhairava' who has already made a solid impact with the initial glimpses of his character.
Sharing insights about his role as âBhairava', Prabhas shared about preparing for it and portraying this entertaining and funny character. He said, "It's more in the mind. Me and our director Nag Ashwin did a few workshops and we would talk a lot about the character before going to the sets. Whenever we would have an idea or a doubt, we would thoroughly discuss it. This character has a lot of shades and is very different from my previous films."
He further added, "For the first time, audiences will watch me in a full-fledged entertaining character. Bhairava and âBujji' are really funny, especially this character - the way he is born and his situation. I feel this kind of character, I have never done something with so many shades. Other than Telugu, this is the first funny character audiences will watch me in."
Featuring an ensemble star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in key roles, âKalki 2898 AD' is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. A multilingual, mythology-inspired sci-fi spectacle set in the future, the film hits the screens on 27th June 2024.
