After Dosti and Naacho Naacho, the makers of the ambitious RRR have released a new track that they have described as the soul anthem of the period drama. The song is titled Janani. We get to see the key characters of the period drama, Ajay Devgn, Junior NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Shriya Saran. We get to see a fictional town's battle for freedom in the era of the 1920s.
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli, for the visionary he is, has carefully crafted his scenes and mounted them on a staggering scale that you are immediately left in awe. But apart from the stunning visuals at display, what work for the soul anthem are the palpable performances of the actors, heartbroken and horrified at the deaths of their own people on display.
The music is by MM Kreem the lyrics have been penned by Varun Grover. For all those who have witnessed the grandeur of this magnum opus are likely to be swayed away by Rajamouli's craft when the film opens in the cinemas on January 7, 2022. This is his first film since the historic Baahubali series so let's see what stamp RRR leaves on the nation's minds. And if it can enter their hearts too.
