Teja Sajja, who has received a lot of positive feedback for his newly released film 'HanuMan,' has said that his favorite indigenous superhero films are 'Koi Mil Gaya,' its sequel 'Krrish,' and the Malayalam classic 'Minnal Murali. The actor recently spoke with IANS about his film, the space that Indian cinema is being afforded in the unification of multiple film industries throughout India, and what growing up with cinema feels like for an actor who has been a part of the profession from their youth.

Teja stated that he is a "huge fan of 'Koi Mil Gaya.'" He may not have seen many international superhero films, but he is quite proud of the domestic superheroes. "I haven't seen many English superhero films." Marvel and DC never resonated with me due of a lack of cultural awareness. But I adore 'Koi Mil Gaya'. 'Minnal Murali' is another favorite of mine. I was in Kochi the other day, talking about 'Minnal Murali'. Tovino Thomas sir was also present; he stated that he was aware of 'HanuMan' and want to help him. I'm hoping we can do something together."

Talking about the unified force that Indian cinema has become with the lines between different film industries in India blurring, the actor said that best is yet to come for Indian cinema.

"We are constantly better than the day before. Tomorrow will be better and brighter. That is what we hope to achieve. It has only just begun. The most notable examples are Shah Rukh Khan sir working with Atlee sir and Prabhas sir working with Prashanth Neel sir from Karnataka. They also worked with Prithviraj Sukumaran sir from Malayalam."

"We have to give huge respect to both stars, Prithviraj sir in Malayalam, is a huge star. Prabhas sir, who is a huge star himself. There's ‘Kalki' coming up and ‘Thalaivar 170'. These are the kinds of collaborations that we are trying to launch because there are no more boundaries of languages, no more boundaries of cultures. It is just Indian cinema against the world cinema. That is an aspiration to dream about."

Teja has started acting in Telugu films since he was two years old. When asked how it felt to grow up in the film industry, he told IANS, "I had a lot of fun." One issue is that you begin to brush shoulders with folks considerably older than you. Working in movies at an early age exposes you to a lot of real life situations. When you work in movies and give out your sentences, you maintain knowing what they are talking about or what I am talking about from a very young age. Nowadays, it is more natural and realistic, but in the past, even tiny children, such as 4- and 5-year-old children, would mouth lines that were excessively large and over-the-top.
