A still from Radhe Shyam
Post the Baahubali franchise, Prabhas has become a pan-India superstar. To honour the fans' love for the actor, the makers of Radhe Shyam are hosting a grand trailer launch of the Prabhas-starrer. While the initial plan was to launch the trailer virtually, on the behest of the south star's fans, plans were altered. A source close to the project reveals, "Prabhas's fans reached out to the producer of the film and requested an [in person] meeting with the actor during the trailer launch. The makers are now holding a grand event for his fans in Hyderabad at Ramoji Film City on December 23."
Prabhas, who was last seen in Saaho (2019), has had no releases or public appearances in two years owing to the pandemic. Fans have been eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite hero for long. "Close to 40,000 fans from all over India will be attending the event, following all the COVID protocols. Only people with double vaccination certificates will be allowed entry for the event. An enormous set is being constructed at an open ground at the Ramoji studios," says the source, adding that temperature checks, sanitisers and masks will be compulsory.
Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the film is set against the backdrop of Europe in the 1970s. Prabhas, who plays the role of Vikramaditya - a palm reader, is paired opposite Pooja Hegde for this romantic drama.
