Dulquer Salmaan
Dulquer Salmaan is one of the biggest stars from South Cinema. Having started his acting career in 2012 with the film titled 'Second Show', Dulquer has given some memorable performances in decade long career. Son of Malayalam megastar Mammootty, Dulquer had a quite debut with 'Second Show', a film that had many newcomers including director Sreenath Rajendran. His second film 'Ustaad Hotel' was an instant hit and is remembered for its endearing plot and music. While the actor has worked in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages apart from Malayalam and is a pan India figure, not many know of his stellar work in Malayalam cinema.
While Dulquer's films 'Bangalore Days' and 'OK Kanmani' are widely known among people, here are some of his lesser-known film in which he has given a stellar performance.
Charlie (2015)
This 2015 film is among Dulquer's finest performance and film. In the film directed by Martin Prakkat, DQ plays a mysterious, carefree vagabond. While the film is named after his character, it follows the story of Tessa (Parvathy Thiruvoth) who chases him after she encounters an incomplete comic book penned by him. She follows clues and meets people who are part of his life in her journey. This is one such romantic tale where the hero-heroine meet only in the climax.

100 Days of Love (2015)
Written and directed by Jenuse Mohamed, '100 Days of Love' stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead. DQ plays Balan K Nair, a reporter based in Bangalore. He meets a girl, Sheela one rainy night as they both get into same taxi at the same time. While he loses her, she leave her bag in the taxi. Inside the bag, he finds there is an old camera with photo of certain places and certain people in Bangalore. Balan and his friend Ummer use the pictures as clues to try to find Sheela. Balan learns that she knows him as he was her bully in school. They eventually become good friends and Balan falls for her but she already has a boyfriend.
Vikramadithyan (2014)
Dulquer Salmaan and Unni Mukundan star in this coming of age film. Adithyan (Dulquer Salmaan), the son of a dishonoured thief who committed suicide, must fight all the odds and compete with Vikraman for the post of a police officer. Nivin Pauly makes a special cameo in the film.
Kammatipaadam (2016)
The film centers on Kammattippaadam, a slum locality in Kochi, Kerala. It focuses on how the Dalit community was forced to give up their lands to real-estate mafias and how modern urbanisation of Kochi metro-city took place over the plight of the Dalits. Dulquer who plays a bodyguard recalling his time in his hometown Kammattippaadam won the State award for the Best Actor.
Theevram (2012)
This 2012 film is a crime thriller starring Dulquer Salmaan, Shikha Nair, Sreenivasan, Vinay Forrt, Vishnu Raghav, Riya Saira and Anu Mohan. Directed by Roopesh Peethambaran the film narrates the story of Harsha Vardhan, a mysterious man, who kidnaps and brutally murders an auto driver, destroying all evidence right after. Despite having their suspicions, the police cannot convict Harsha.
Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (2013)
A road adventure film directed and co-produced by Sameer Thahir and written by Hashir Mohamed. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Wayne with Dhritiman Chatterjee, Surja Bala Hijam in supporting roles. The movie was inspired from the book Long Way Down and has a cult following among the youth in Kerala. The film revolves around Kasi (Dulquer Salmaan) and Suni (Sunny Wayne) who go on a road trip from Kerala to Nagaland.
