Actress Mayuri Deshmukh, who has not only won several accolades for her stint as Malini in 'Imlie' but has been a writer of a play that has not only been staged nationally but overseas as well. Her play 'Dear Aajo' gave her a new identity that became a part of her demeanour. The actress who has kept this side of her a bit lesser known revealed a lot of things and spoke in length about her since the inception.
Foremost, the actress revealed that she started writing at the age of 6, an age where children barely comprehend things going on in their surroundings. Mayuri says "When I was 6-7 years old, I wrote a poem on a honeybee. And it came from my observation and I loved the way my words rhymed and the beautiful poem and whatever was created out of that and I was intrigued by it. I loved writing but I have been pursuing it in bits and parts and there are phases when I write and there are phases that I don't. I don't know how good I am but do I love it? Absolutely."
However, Mayuri feels as and when you grow the way you write also undergoes a lot of changes. She further added "And it started long back and there have been phases when I have excessively pursued it and there are days when I have not. As a child I used to write a lot of poems and then I wanted to write stories and articles and right now I am in a phase where I want to write stories and screenplays. So it is an evolution and I am yet to discover the complete writer in me"
