Chiyaan Vikram starrer 'Thangalaan' has been in the headlines ever since the first look and the teaser of the film was released. Set against the backdrop of the early 19th Century, the periodic action drama is based on the true events that revolve around the lives of mine workers in the Kolar Gold Field, Karnataka. Interestingly, the film was shot in the real location of 'KGF' (Kolar Gold Fields).
The upcoming Chiyaan Vikram starrer 'Thangalaan' will present the real KGF (Kolar Gold Fields). The film was shot at a real location. Director Pa. Ranjith ensured to keep authenticity and realness in the storytelling as much as possible. The director also made sure that the team stayed in the remote locations of Kolar and shot the film in real KGF (Kolar Gold Fields).
Moreover, The story of the film captures the actual story of the Kolar Gold Fields. Over a thousand years ago, the Kolar Gold Mine Field was discovered by Britishers, and the same was exploited and looted by them for their own purpose.
Besides Thangalaan, Studio Green who has made several blockbuster films is having another big film to release this year with Suriya starrer 'Kanguva.' 'Thangalaan' is scheduled for worldwide release in April 2024, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, and the music of the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
