"Tomorrow some of us will stage a protest in front of director Shankar's house", popular transgender celebrity and social activist Rose Venkatesan said.
Venkatesan said they also planned to seek the support of LGBT members.
"We are also planning to get their support", another transgender said.
They are irked at being shown in bad light in the magnum opus "I", which stars Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles.
Double Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman has scored the music for the film.
A representative of ChennaiDost, a community for LGBT, told PTI, "So far we have not received any request from them (transgenders) for the protest. Once we get it from them we will decide it", he said.
