Put together in less than 48 hours and dubbed in six languages, the film, which cost Rs 1.8 lakh, revolves around three characters u2013 a young couple who move from Mumbai to Bangalore, and a real estate agent who helps them find accommodation in the city. "We wanted a break from our routine work," says Karthik V, founder of Avighna Productions. "We decided that it would be creatively stimulating to make a short film."
Why a horror film? "I guess we all enjoy black humour," he replies. Most of the film is shot in a house in Chamarajapet in South Bangalore. The plot revolves around a house-hunting young couple and a real estate agent.u00a0 The broker takes the couple to a haunted house and that's when the drama begins. "Sandeep, who acted in the Kannada film PUC, plays the young husband, and Swati, a newcomer, plays his wife," Karthik adds.
"We shot the film in under 48 hours but we took three days to edit it down to 60 minutes," he says. Rahul, the director of Tension, is a software engineer. "Movie making is a hobby for all 15 of us associated with the film," he says. The young team wants to release the film on a suitable TV channel.
