Aadi Lokesh sidesteps controversy with a smile. When asked about the scene in Anjadiru, where is chased and walloped by heroine Shubha Poonja, he says, "I have a small role in the film, and I have done it to the best of my ability. I made sure Shubha was at ease when she was beating me black and blue!"
According to director Janardhan, "Aadi plays a violent man in the film. We were clear about his characterization."
The Censor Board has given the film U/A certification.
"I was scared while beating up Aadi," admits Shubha, hastening to add that it was "in the interest of the film."
