In Photos: Times BTS's culinary talents made ARMYs' mouths water

There's no doubt that BTS love food. Oldest hyung Jin and Golden Maknae Jungkook undoubtedly have the largest appetites and ARMY loves watching the septet eat heartily. Fans are also familiar with Jin and Suga's masterchef-level cooking abilities. But did you know that the rest of BTS have some great cooking abilities up their sleeves too? Take a look - (All Photos/YouTube, Twitter)

BTS hard at work in the kitchen

BTS celebrate their group anniversary every year by hosting an event named 'FESTA.' The septet celebrated their very first anniversay in June, 2014 by throwing a house party. Everybody was assigned different duties - main chef Jin cooked a delicious Korean stew while Namjoon was on assistance duty. Their financial constraints at the time meant they had limited kitchen space - and even chopped vegeatbles by squatting on the floor! BTS truly has come a long way since then

Fans love to see BTS don their chef hats. One of the earliest Run BTS! episodes (the group's very own variety show) saw them divided into teams. Under Suga and Jin's leadership (the two best chefs in the group), BTS tried cooking different dishes

Jungkook's kimchi fried rice was a hit! And of course, Taehyung had to arrive to steal a few bites from his dongsaeng (younger brother)

BTS's leader Kim Namjoon aka RM might have an IQ of 148 and eloquent songwriting and rapping skills - but he can be a clumsy gentle giant when it comes to everyday tasks. He once tried to chop an onion with the knife's cover still on it - and here, he tried to straining noodles by putting his hands into the boiling water. No wonder Jin looks so agitated!

The episode had plenty of comedic moments as well. Jungkook's sticky glazed potatoes lived up to their name to the point where they wouldn't come off of the plate!

Kimchi is an integral element of Korean cuisine, and BTS had a long of fun making their own fresh kimchi from different vegetables such as cabbage, radish and spring onions

BTS also got a taste of what it felt like to work in the close confines of an industrial kitchen in another Run! BTS episode

As expected, Chef Min Suga whipped up some delicious steak for everyone to enjoy. Even the chef who actually ran the kitchen was impressed!

'95 liners Taehyung and Jimin cooked some orochiette pasta. RM accidentally mistook this cute-shaped pasta for garlic - if not for Jin's observant eye, the '95 chingus might not have had a dish to serve at all. Oh, Namjoon

Another episode of BTS's hilarious variety show featured an avatar-style game. Once again, teams were split between Jin and Suga, who would sit in a separate room and give instructions to the members cooking through a walkie talkie. But the catch was that the instructions could not be relayed directly.

Jin or Suga could only talk to one of the members of the cooking pair, who would then further relay the instruction to the other. As expected, this resulted in a lot of chaos - Jungkook and Taehyung could not figure out how to tie their aprons. They also did all sorts of antics - from V accidentally washing green onion with boiling hot water to Jungkook tasting soy sauce to make sure it wasn't something else!

Suga's frustration is palpable even through the screen!

Clumsy Namjoon once again could not be trusted near anything potentially hazardous - and a kitchen is full of dangerous equipment! From trying to check the underside of a pancake with his 'X-Ray' vision, to adding ginger-garlic paste into the wrong bowl to adding salt twice, assuming it is sugar - this episode truly gave us some laugh-out-loud moments

Baek Jeong-won is an internationally acclaimed Korean chef. He made a guest appearance on the variety show. BTS cooked under the legendary chef's supervision and also raised awareness for an important cause concerning Korean meat farmers and producers

In 2020, BTS recreated their very first FESTA anniversary, from the decorations, cake and even the food! Jimin and Suga diligently prepared their celebratory cake

Here is Jin teaching Namjoon how to cut carrots without ending up in the emergency ward

Role reversal! Jin and Suga became the reluctant avatars as the rest of relatively-inexperienced BTS attempted to relay (mostly incoherent) cooking instructions to the resident maestros

BTS's pandemic reality show 'In The Soop' saw BTS relaxing on a much-deserved break amidst some forested landscapes. The group was given the freedom to spend their days here however they pleased. The show featured several heartwarming moments of the members coming together to cook their own meals

Jin gave Jungkook some one-on-on lessons on filetting sashimi - and of course, the Golden Maknae picked it up in the first go

In The Soop truly gave ARMY some unfiletered moments of BTS cooking and unwinding. In this instance, they put together every leftover ingredient from their fridge, including rice to create some classic Korean comfort food - kimchi fried rice. The Bangtan Boys were so sleepy that they ate right out of the pan!

BTS's creative genius Taehyung also tried out some recipes of his own

And when not cooking, Tae took up dishwashing duty!

Masterchef Suga returned to cook some delicious, smoky meats on a camping style grill. Yoongi might seem aloof, but no one cares more for the Bangtan members than he does - he braved the eye-watering smoke just to whip up something hearty for the BTS!

ARMY got to watch BTS eating peacefully and sharing meaningful conversations over food. Group dinners are the best - and what food tastes better than that which you cook yourself?

BTS and ramen go hand-in-hand. No matter how full the members might be, there's always that extra bit of reserved tummy room for ramen. Jungkook is the septet's self-proclaimed ramen expert - and boy, does he make our mouth water with his noodle masterpieces

'In the Soop 2' also featured delightful moments of members coming together to plan and cook meals, and of course, eat heartily at all hours of the day. ARMY, are you hungry yet?
