BTS has reached astronomical levels of popularity and adoration. With fame, comes the shadows. BTS have repeatedly spoken up about different activities they engage in to nourish the spirit of their inner 'person' behind the idol - and leader Kim Namjoon is one of its biggest proponents. Take a look at Namjoon 'Namjooning' below -(Pics/Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)

BTS leader Kim Namjoon is known for being an impeccable songwriter and musician. The poetic overtones in his work are inspired by his love for reading, nature and art
In a Weverse livestream in 2019, Namjoon himself coined the term 'Namjooning' in response to when an ARMY asked what he had been up to recently. He defined the term as "the act of living as Kim Namjoon. this includes taking walks through parks, admiring nature, hanging out with crabs, and having fun with friends"
Namjoon documents several pretty sights that come across his way - be it a photograph of beautiful spring cherry blossoms like this one (of course, this one will hold a special place in the heart of the 'Spring Day' writer) or a random adorable cat on his way to work
Namjoon is also very fond of cycling. The BTS leader says that it not only keeps him in shape but also melts away his stresses. He released a track called 'Bicycle' for BTS's anniversary in 2021 - an ode to his love affair with cycling
Look at these stunning photos from Barcelona! Namjoon posted aesthetic snaps from his time in Spain - he seems at peace standing in front of a stunning cathedral
Spending time with one's friends is essential to 'Namjooning.' Laughter and conversations abound as RM rides on a train through Madrid
Namjoon amongst glorious autumn colours of crimson, mandarin and golden yellow. It's not too much to expect another masterpiece by the BTS leader with such a stunning muse, is it?
Do we look at the painting or Namjoon's sculpted arms? What is the art here, exactly?
Namjoon has also visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art multiple times
Namjoon is seriously giving us adventure-goals! He captured the stunning architecture of the Buddhist Zhizhi Ji Temple in China and the landscapes surrounding it
Namjoon's eye for beauty does not stop at just appreciating art. The musician also dabbles in painting himself! During the pandemic, BTS created a reality show 'In The Soop,' where they took time to unwind, recover from their otherwise busy schedules and engage in soothing activities like board games, boating and painting. Take a look at Joon's beautiful piece! Seriously, it wasn't enough to have an IQ of 148?
Namjoon has been vocal about supporting artists from his home country, South Korea. While on a trip to Jeju island, RM visited the Bonte Museum, which showcases traditional and modern Korean crafts. He visited the Infinity Mirrored Room - Gleaming Lights of the Souls by Yayoi Kusama - a singular 4*4 installation with a hundred lights of changing colours
Namjoon's solo album release 'Indigo' in December last year put the spotlight on Korean artist Yun Hyeong-keun. Not only does the album open with a track titled 'Yun', paying homage to the great artist, but the album cover itself also features his painting 'Blue'
The title track of the album, 'Wild Flower' was also literally shot amongst fields of ferns and wildflowers. The song dives into the harsh realities of being on stage, and how sometime the person Namjoon, as opposed to idol RM, needed to step back and immerse himself into simpler things in life
'Paused and turned out to be gloriously barefooted, Nothing was ever meant to be mine; Burning fireworks to flowerworks, I'll stay in this barren field' - these lyrics from the song are a testament to the desire for finding joy in life's small beautiful things
So great is Namjoon's love for art, that he shot performances for his album 'Indigo' at the famed Dia Beacon art museum in New York. Other tracks on his album like 'Still Life' are also inspired from the life lessons that art has taught him. In an episode with 'Intersections: The Art Basel Podcast,' he also expressed his dream of opening his own art gallery someday and supporting the local art scene
Namjoon seems super excited sailing across the Han River on his way to host the BTS 10th anniversary at Yeouido Park, Seoul
Engrossed in thought! We have no doubt some profound lyricism and/or philosophical wisodm is brewing in Namjoon's brain, which we will get to hear in his next livestream or piece of music
In a world where everyone races past, 'Namjooning' is teaching ARMYs to practise slow and mindful living; and above all, to take time out to do things that bring us joy
Namjoon treats ARMYs to his travels around Seoul and the world almost every week. They capture ordinary moments of fun and magic, inspiring fans to take out time to take care of themselves
