Preparations for Jungkook`s birthday celebration are underway in cities across the world
Korean musical sensation BTS' youngest member Jeon Jungkook will be turning 26 on September 1. ARMY, the group's massive global fandom is gearing up to celebrate his birthday in style and are not shying away from making flamboyant preparations for the same in public. It looks like fans are more excited about his birthday than he is!
The city of Seoul in South Korea is a pulsing mass of purple, BTS and their fans' official colour, which celebrates their 10-year long bond. Public transportation is carrying a touch of Jungkook's magic. Buses have been plastered with posters of Jungkook and cruising across the city to mark the special day. One of these birthday buses has been making rounds near HYBE, circling the building. Hopefully, Kookie catches a glimpse of it!

Cafes in the city are getting creative and decked up with Jungkook-themed decorations. Cups, bottles, mugs and balloons all have a picture of the Golden Maknae. Jungkook is also the face of Calvin Klein and his sultry photos endorsing the luxury label's clothing has made Twitter go frenzy plenty of times in the past. A cafe in Seoul has commemorated him being global ambassador for the brand by positioning a huge blowup of a Jungkook Calvin Klein doll at their entrance. Jungkook has also been basking in the massive success of his solo digital single, 'Seven.' A cafe celebrated this milestone by naming itself after the track - and fans of BTS are fast thronging to 'Hotel Seven' for the Jungkook aesthetic.
Seoul's subway stations are also giving a shoutout to Jungkook's upcoming birthday. Stations outside Hongik and Konkuk universities are joining in the festivities with JK-themed advertisements which feature adorable and meme-worthy moments of the star.
It's not just Seoul that's revelling in Jungkook turning a year older. New York and Bangkok are also celebrating - as is a fitting tribute to the global icon. A billboard in Times Square, New York city is also carrying advertisements that congratulate Jungkook on his 'Seven' success and wish him a happy birthday. These will be featured until September 1st, so that all passersby can glance up and brighten their day with Jungkook's smile. The Empire Tower, the tallest office building in Bangkok is also carrying displaying a massive advertisement of Jungkook on an LED screen.
Ahead of his birthday, Jungkook's recent release 'Seven' (feat Latto) became the fastest song by a male artist in Spotify history (second fastest overall) to surpass 500 million streams. The feat was achieved in 43 days. We wish Jungkook a very happy birthday, much love and success on all his future musical endeavours!
