BBMA`s 2023
The 2023 Billboard Music Awards are currently taking place. Mariah Carey, Peso Pluma, Karol G, Morgan Wallen, Stray Kids, David Guetta, Tate McRae, NewJeans, and more artists are part of the evening's lineup. K-pop artists have dominated the night, securing most of the titles. BLACKPINK achieved their first win at the BBMAs, while NewJeans, a group making waves this year, took home a music award during their debut appearance on stage.
Surpassing BTS Jimin, Stray Kids, Tomorrow X Together, and Twice, New Jeans, a new group, clinched their inaugural win at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. The group debuted in 2022 under ADOR, a branch of the HYBE LABELS. Their performance on the night made a significant impact, leading Billboard to release their acceptance speech.

BLACKPINK earned their first Billboard Music Award for their successful BORN PINK tour. Members of the K-pop girl group - Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa - marked this achievement, surpassing BTS' Suga D-Day and Twice's world tour for the top K-pop touring artist. With this win, the singers became the first K-pop group and the second girl group in history to receive this prestigious award.
BTS' Jimin also made his presence felt, securing nominations in four categories, becoming the most nominated K-pop act. The categories include Top Billboard Global K-Pop Artist and Top K-Pop Album. BTS Jungkook, who has also been having a stellar year, bagged the Top Global K-Pop song win for Seven featuring Latto.
It's been a stellar night for music lovers and the industry to celebrate the diversity in music.
