Photos shared by BTS member Jin on Weverse today
BTS's eldest member Kim Seokjin has been serving in the South Korean military since December 2022. He occasionally makes an appearance on social media to communicate with their fandom, the ARMY, share updates on his life or comment on other members' posts. On Wednesday, the singer took to Weverse to share photos with another K-pop star, Winner member Seung-yoon, who is also serving in the military.
Sharing the photos of them in uniform, Jin congratulated Seung-yoon for completing his basic military training and also clarified that they did not receive any special treatment.
His post, loosely translated in English, reads, "Congratulations on the completion! It was great for past the six weeks.. (He's the cool vocalist of the group Winner) You worked hard during your training & live well even after going to your own base heuk heuk [sob sob] I suggested we take a photo together to keep it as a memory so that ARMY and Inner Circle see it and like it. Our company command and administrative sergeant are very nice people, so the last 6 weeks were spent well (there was no special treatment)."
Fans were super happy to see Jin's latest photos from the military and also reiterated how handsome he looked.

Another fan posted the photos on Instagram and urged ARMYs to stay patient for Jin's return from military.
BTS member Jungkook also commented on Jin's post and said he looked cool.
Earlier this month, Jin had taken to social media to wish fans on ARMY Day, which is celebrated on July 9. In a pre-recorded video, he talked about how he was preparing for the performance of his single 'The Astronaut' with BigHit in-house producer Pdogg. Jin performed the song live with Coldplay during their concert in Argentina in December 2022, right before he enrolled in the military. In the video, he talked about how he was practising and polishing his live vocal skills for the incredibly high-pitched song and even serenaded ARMYs with a small segment!
The globally popular group has been on hiatus since last year to pursue personal travels and musical projects. Two of the members, J-Hope and Jin, have also enlisted in their mandatory military service tenure.
