In Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), the second instalment in the rebooted franchise and sequel to 2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Caesar leads his own ape community separate from humans. he film resonates with Furiosa and the Mad Max series by exploring human depravity long after societal structures have collapsed.

In present-day London, a 12-year-old named Quinn Abercromby witnesses a hibernating dragon awakening from centuries of sleep due to a construction project overseen by his mother. This incident, for which Quinn feels partly responsible, unleashes chaos. 

Mad Max: Fury Road follows Tom Hardy as Max Rockstansky, a wanderer surviving in a post-apocalyptic desert. Max encounters a cult that controls essential resources like water, keeping people oppressed and fearful. He teams up with Imperator Furiosa, a fierce warrior leading a revolt against the cult's tyrannical leader, Immortan Joe.

In 2031, the world is frozen, and the only survivors are on the Snowpiercer, a train racing around the globe. Inside, a society has formed with distinct classes and economies. Curtis (played by Chris Evans) leads a group of lower-class passengers living in harsh conditions at the back of the train. 

Directed by Alfonso Cuarón, Children of Men is a dystopian drama set in 2027, where infertility threatens humanity with extinction. Clive Owen stars as Theo Faron, a former activist. Julianne Moore, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Caine, Charlie Hunnam, and Pam Ferris also feature in supporting roles.

A Quiet Place is set in a world overrun by alien creatures with hypersensitive hearing. Humanity teeters on the edge of extinction, and the Abbott family survives by maintaining complete silence. Their fragile peace is threatened as they await the arrival of a new baby. The film features John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe, with Krasinski also directing.

In a future where civilization has collapsed, THE KID, a young scavenger who loves comic books, must confront his fears and reluctantly become a hero when he encounters a mysterious girl named APPLE. Despite their desire to stay under the radar, they are harassed by ZEUS, the cruel leader of the Wasteland. 

Written by Gary Whitta and directed by The Hughes Brothers, The Book of Eli stars Denzel Washington as Eli, a lone traveler in a post-apocalyptic United States. Released in 2010, the film follows Eli's journey to safeguard a mysterious book from a dangerous group seeking to manipulate people with its contents. 

One of the most emotionally intense post-apocalyptic films, John Hillcoat's The Road offers a poignant contrast to Furiosa's visual spectacle. The movie tracks a father and son as they journey through America's desolate wasteland, seeking refuge on the coast. 

Love and Monsters is a post-apocalyptic film where a young man ventures into a world overrun by monsters to reunite with his girlfriend seven years after the apocalypse. Dylan O'Brien and Jessica Henwick play the lead roles, supported by Michael Rooker, Dan Ewing, and Ariana Greenblatt in other significant parts.
