Performances are also decent enough to keep the audience engaged. Tim Story’s film appears to bank heavily on nostalgia to keep its audience in splits. While the antics don’t have newness or smarts, they probably have the appeal to get the younger generation interested.

Tim Story's stylised animation character study does well to develop a childish source of glee that also taps into nostalgic reminisces of adults. While the funny slapstick moments are not the riotous we remember from yore, they do manage to keep you tickled and reminiscing about the good old days of clean-cut harmless crash-bang competitiveness that kept the laughter flowing. The creatively rendered animation mixes well with the live action, allowing for an uninterrupted flow of jousting, jostling and a fair it of hysterics.
