One can always expect Lily Allen to avoid mincing words. And the outspoken music star has not disappointed - once again. The 28-year-old took aim at the business for its alleged sexism.

Popular for her controversial statements, Lily Allen once said that she makes fun of fellow pop stars because of her personal lack of confidence. "I'm short, fat, ugly and I hate all these people who flaunt their beauty." Pic/Getty Images

In a statement to a British tabloid, she said, "I have been signed into many different record company buildings but am astonished by the lack of female executives."

The Air Balloon singer - who recently blasted her own label for her poor singles - also insisted men get too much credit for female star's success, whereas nobody talks about the people behind a male musician.

"If it's Beyonce, it's Jay Z. If it's Adele, it's Paul Epworth. For me? It was Mark Ronson and the same with Amy Winehouse. You never get that with men."

Interestingly, Lily also clarified her stance as a feminist and insisted people need to take a stand against sexism within the music industry.
