Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are deep into their wedding preparations. If the latest reports are to be believed, the couple has finalized a venue in California and fixed a date in September this year. They have already sent out invitations to their close friends and family, and the list reportedly includes singer Taylor Swift.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, it will be a star-studded wedding, and the two will exchange vows in a dreamy ceremony. While the event will primarily be attended by close friends and family, it is expected to feature several famous names. Reports stated that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce have already received their invitations.
A source told the Daily Mail, "Selena and Benny's wedding is going to be a two-day event in Montecito in September. Everyone invited has been asked to bring overnight bags to stay for the weekend. Although it's for friends and family only, many on the friends list are huge celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Selena's co-stars from Only Murders in the Building, and music superstars who are Benny's friends or collaborators."
The September wedding is ideal for the couple, as Selena will be busy with her shoots during the fall and winter.
As per Female First UK, Selena and Benny confirmed their romance in December 2023. The Emilia Perez star explained that they decided to share parts of their relationship publicly - a choice that has made her feel "safe" with her partner.
She told The Hollywood Reporter, "I guess this is the safest I've ever felt in one, and I see a future with this person. When you put a little bit out there, people are not as hungry to hunt you down. Like, if they hear something, they're going to - but if you're like, âI did it,' they're like, âOh, well, there's you, just going to Sushi Park.' But there's so much of my relationship people don't see - that's just mine."
Selena is content with the balance she has found that allows her to maintain some privacy in her life. When asked if she feels she has a private life, she said, "I do, because I hang out with people who aren't really in the business that much. I mean, I have both."
When previously questioned about his future and the idea of becoming a father on The Howard Stern Show, Benny Blanco said, "That's my next goal - to check the box. I have a ton of good kids; I've got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids."
When asked if he wishes to have kids with Selena, Benny responded, "It's always a topic of conversation for me every day."
The couple got engaged in December, 2024.
